1. About Nala
Nala is a community reporting platform that helps residents, community leaders and local decision-makers communicate, record issues, and work together to improve the places where people live. These Terms of Service apply to anyone who uses Nala, including residents who submit reports and representatives who manage or respond to them.
2. Accepting the terms
By signing in, submitting a report, supporting a community issue, or otherwise using Nala, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
3. Who can use Nala
Nala is intended for residents and approved members of participating communities. Access may be limited to invited or approved email addresses during a pilot phase. You must provide accurate information when you sign up, and you may not impersonate another person or use the platform for communities you are not part of.
4. What you can submit
You can submit reports about issues, ideas or opportunities in your community. Submissions may include a description, location and optional photographs. You must only submit information you believe to be accurate, and you must not submit abusive, illegal, false, or invasive content about other people.
5. How we use submissions
Submissions are used to help your community understand local issues, group similar reports together, and plan responses. Depending on your community settings, submissions may be visible to community managers, elected representatives, and other residents. Do not submit sensitive personal information or private details about others unless it is necessary for the report.
6. Account security
You are responsible for keeping your account secure. If you sign in with Google or another provider, you are also bound by that provider's terms. Please let us know immediately if you suspect your account has been used without your permission.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Nala to harass others, spread misinformation, upload harmful files, or interfere with the platform's operation. We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these rules or harm the community.
8. Changes and availability
We may update these terms or change features as Nala grows. We will post the latest terms here, and continued use of the platform means you accept the updated terms. We do not guarantee that the platform will always be available or error-free.
